Well, Sunday, we woke up to some snow! It was fun to have some snow in December! It started on Saturday night, and Sunday we woke up to see it sticking perfectly to the ground!
Our family was on the worship team Sunday morning, so I decided to snap a picture, not because it is unusual, more just because I’ve never shown a pic of it on my blog!
My dad, sister, brother, and brother in law are all on the team! I am normally, although I haven’t been since Mayah was born.

Anyways, so more about the snow…
We had a Christmas party in Olympia to go to, but we didn’t make it because Kyle and I weren’t sure we’d have Grounded at 7 and didn’t want to try to make it back on bad roads, later in the evening.
After we turned around, we decided to cancel Grounded, mostly because we didn’t want kids to be trying to drive to the church. We decided to stop at the church so Kyle could put up a sign for anyone we couldn’t get a hold of…he ended up walking up the hill to bring a cone down and put the sign on the cone so people wouldn’t try to drive up the hill. I doubt anyone tried to go, but better safe than sorry. Since I was waiting in the car with Mayah, I put my time to good use by taking pics!
When we got home, our yard was beautiful. The pond ended up freezing overnight which looked pretty cool too. Here are some pictures!
Since it snowed, Mayah and I didn’t leave the house on Monday. I still dressed her up cute and snuggly warm in a hand knit sweater and hat. She looked so sweet in it! I of course layered her in some BabyLegs since the house was on the cold side.

Since coming home from Oregon on Monday, it has been a pretty laid back week. I wanted to stick to the house as much as possible so that Mayah could get back into her good nap routine after such a busy weekend. It was nice to be around the house and relax. Finally, by last night, she was back to sleeping a good solid 10 hours in the night… She did good in the hotel room on Sunday night (just a little awake spurt for a few minutes), but when we got home, she had some more wake spurts. Some of them were actual wake up for long enough that I went in to feed her and others were just wake up, talk and fuss a little and go back to sleep. Last night, she slept so good, although she made some random noises, I think she was sleeping the whole night. It was great, although by morning, I was sure ready to feed her!

Rebecca and Tyler stopped by on Tuesday for a few minutes, which is always fun. We enjoy their visits.
We had GYC on Wednesday…fun as always…
It was food night, so Mayah and I had the big job of getting the Taquitos cooked and prepared for the kids before GYC got out… here is our final product….
On Thursday, I decided it was high time to weight Mayah…. I did it in the morning when I changed her clothes and got her ready for the day…

She’s getting so big! Her next appointment with her pediatrician is in three weeks, I wonder how much she’ll weigh then???
Later on Thursday, Allison and Carlie called and wondered if they could walk down. It is always fun to have visitors, so we were excited to have them come over! Luckily, the house wasn’t too messy, so we were ready to have them come! Carlie stayed pretty busy, and showed me how much I have to do to child-proof the house before Mayah is able to move around on her own… Carlie is so fun and I hope that she and Mayah get to be good friends!
Today, Kyle and I got the Wii Fit! And we also got a new water cooler for the kitchen… you should read his blog to see more pics, but here are some pics I took of him on the Wii Fit, and Mayah on the floor while he was playing…
