We had a very busy day on Saturday, so we got up and Mayah took a bath…

Then we headed to Auburn for my niece, Jaedelyn’s first birthday party. It was a little overwhelming for Mayah, so she took a nap part way through, but other than that she did pretty good. She had a few crying outbursts from gas, but once it was taken care of she was happy again.
Jaedelyn and Mayah together…
Mayah sure likes her uncle, she always seems to just snuggle right up to him!

When we got back to town, we stopped at our friends’ house for a birthday, but we just stayed for a few minutes because Mayah was very ready to go home! She went to bed very happily and slept 6 1/2 hours in a row! Yay! We are getting better at sleeping at night!

PS… go visit Kyle’s blog and leave a comment! He would love to have some comments!

First, before much talking, I had to put this picture of Mayah and I up. I love it.
Now on for my real post…
Well, yes, I have now moved on to being in my 30’s. I can’t believe I am so old! Ha ha. Really though, I don’t feel old, being in the youth ministry does keep me young! I tend to forget how old I am, I mean, I do feel older than our youth kids, but not THAT much older. Kyle is younger, too, although I forget that many times and others try not to remember :).
We spent the day pretty laid back. Kyle got me a picture frame for family pictures and a WSU hat, with an IOU for eating at IHOP since I really wanted to eat there the day I went into labor, it just didn’t work out that way. Mayah got me a framed picture of her and me (wasn’t that a cute idea?).
We decided to go on an outing to the yarn store and jewelry store. By the way, the pearls were Kyle’s idea, not mine! I would have gone for diamonds… Here are some pics from the trip:

Kyle’s grandparents also came to meet Mayah for the first time. She was very good when she met them. I felt bad because right before they came, I totally fell asleep on the bed with Mayah. I must have been tired!

The rest of the day was quiet. We did stop at Baskin Robbins so Kyle could get an ice cream cake for me. While we were there, Mayah got to see Uncle Ben while he was at work at UPX. He came out to say hello really quick. My family came over in the evening for ice cream cake that Kyle got. It was a blessing to have everyone here. Here are a few more pics from the day:
