Not much has been going on, but I have gotten some cute pictures of my sweet 6 month old Mayah.

Here’s what my sweetie wore on Superbowl Sunday….

She is starting to feel better now, but each day definitely has it’s hard points.
She is definitely getting back to being happier though!

I got her some new jammies because she is too long for all of hers and only had 2 pairs in the next size… here is the first pair she got to wear… I love them!

And today, Mayah had a few good naps, I had to snap a pic and risk waking her up, she was so precious in her first one….

Then in her 2nd one, she wiggled around a little before falling asleep, and this is how she ended up….

What a funny girl.
I have to say that I have been working on a post and have started over so many times. I have a lot to say, yet haven’t found how to say it in a post yet, lol. I am working on it though!
Well, this week has been hard because Mayah first seemed to be coming down with a cold.I felt like it was headed for the worse so I decided to call the dr on Tuesday. They said she looked ok, but they would like to test her for RSV just o be sure. RSV is something that Tyler had when he was younger, actually, it put him in the hospital, so my memories of it were not the greatest, but I am glad they wanted to test her. They finally got the test results on Thursday and called to tell me she did have RSV. RSV stands for Respitory Syncytial Virus. Since it is a virus, the cure is to just wait it out and make sure that she doesn’t have trouble breathing or get too high of a temperature or dehydrate.
The funny thing is that she was seeming like it was just a cold til Thursday night after we got the diagnosis, then all of the sudden it turned to her moaning in pain, getting a higher and higher temperature, and choosing not to eat. I was up most of the night with her. On Friday, the doctor wanted to check on her. When we got there, her temp had risen to 102.8! Ahh… That was the highest it had gotten! They gave her more Tylenol and she sat there and moaned and groaned the whole we were there. Her doctor prescribed a nebulizer and suggested I give her a warm bath after we got home.
The nebulizer has been great, I can tell it is doing something for her. Also, she has really enjoyed the warm baths. She actually was kicking and splashing in the tub and laughing at her ducks floating around her! It was so nice to see some smiles.
The sad thing is, I still must take my daily picture, so I am so sad to see how she has looked.
She just doesn’t look like herself. The pictures start at Thursday, then move on to today…

She really has spent much of the time sleeping, so these times are the few times she has been awake. Anyways, I just thought I’d check in. This little part of our journey through life has not been the most fun, but we are surviving and Mayah is being quite a trooper. She definitely has started looking better today, and is happy to play on the floor for a few minutes. I hope this means we are coming to the end of fevers and sleepless nights and into her getting better and stronger again. I sure miss my happy girl.
